Ephrem Gould, 73, of Memramcook East, died Saturday (3 novembre) at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Ephrem  GouldBorn in Memramcook East, he was a son of the late Willie and Lucie (Dupuis) Gould. He had been employed as a machinist with Canadian National Railway for 35 years prior to his retirement, and attended Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic church, Memramcook East.

He is survived by his wife, the former Bella LeBlanc; three daughters, Mrs. James Goguen (Évangéline) of Dieppe, Jeanne of Montreal and Mrs Ivan Tower (Helen) of Sackville; eight sons, William, Gérald, Marcel and Norbert, all of Dieppe, Aurèle and Denis, both of Memramcook East, Léo-Paul of Cap-Pelé and Ronald of Calgary; two brothers, Robert of Moncton and Roy of Memramcook East; 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Emile.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will he celebrated Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Burial in parish cemetery.
